It did ok domestically but underperformed overseas. I’ve seen recent projections that have it finishing anywhere between $500M-$700M WW. That’s terrible for a title as big as TLM. People are “nOt WiTh tHe WoKe CuLtUrE” or want their “cHiLdHoOd rUiNeD” so… For the Live Action films though, it’s still doing pretty decent I’d say! It kinda remind me when Gaga and co released Judas thinkinking itd be a worldwide SMA-YUSH!!! And when it underperformed the fans just used the excuse of "religion" for its underperformance. Sadly, it's a provocative act to conservatives which led to negative reviews and thus to low box office numbers (esp. in China and South Korea). I believe that in the long run it will have its impact meaning that people and kids out there maybe will only know a black Ariel.
