True, but this is a bit different than just the expectations being high. Trump's attorney's were spotted at the DOJ today and had a meeting with prosecutors. "By Federal law, once an indictment is filed and the defendant is aware of it, the case must proceed to trial within 70 days." He'd most likely have gone through a trial by this Christmas, a year before 2024 general elections. He's have to run from jail, most likely.
