Dennis 8,391
Twitter founder decided to follow in the footsteps of Twitter's current CEO with unhinged political beliefs, deciding to endorse RFK, a notorious anti-vaccine conspiracy theorist, transphobic and anti-Ukraine. RFK was encouraged to run as a "chaos agent" in the democratic primaries, by none other than Steve Bannon himself.
27monster27 15,849
When I was younger I used to be shocked that the US would be labeled a "Flawed Democracy" in yearly ratings. However, after recent years I am not longer surprised in the slightest. The fact that a MAJOR social media app like this can be taken over by extremists and propagate misinformation just proves that we live in a flawed democracy. he/him/his

America is a flawed Democracy, but not for the reasons you mentioned. Its not flawed Democracy to allow private companies to sell their own company to Elon. shelby loved 384
RFK is fine, it's not a big deal to endorse him imo. 🐚
skaxboy 6,902
Jack never turned a profit for his creation and sold it to an idiots version of a “genius.” I think it’s safe to say we shouldn’t take his political endorsement with any degree of credibility. StarstruckIllusion 53,563
The fact this psycho is doing better than Marianne is so sad to me ☠️ At least Marianne says she’s not a crazy crystal aura lady. RFK is blatantly anti vax in interviews even when the hosts are trying to reason with him 😭

The fact that Elon can use his extremism to help platform even more extreme people like DeSantis is what I mean. I do agree with you though that there are other reasons as well. he/him/his

But its also part of Democracy for private companies to platform politicians The problem comes when money is exchanged between government and corporations to pass bills that favors corporate interest instead of the people. That should be illegal and its what makes American democracy flawed.

I really hate how so much bribing exists with politicians and corporations. I first learned about it in 11th grade in 2019 and I was really saddened by it. he/him/his
