Natalia Kills 366
- The pink strips above her Gaga’s eyes seen in stupid love and on promotional material look cheap, off-centre and poorly stuck on. - 911’s music video is overrated. It spends too much time trying to deliver the shock factor at end and deliberately trying to be clever. The setting is boring for Gaga standards and could have been much more aligned to the quirkiness of the song (e.g. a grungy, slimy alien factory like the cover art hints at or like ROM). - 1000 Doves has Eurovision energy and should have been given more of a chance. - Gaga needs to make an album based on ‘Love Me Right’. It doesn’t fit on Chromatica but I’d love to see a mature, vocally rich album set to a smooth instrumentals like that. - Elton was a nice idea but poorly executed. His vocals don’t go with a song like Sine. - Gaga didn’t enjoy Chromatica as much as she thought she would. Granted, the pandemic messed it up, but when I saw her live, she came into her own when the ASIB stuff came on. - DOC is my least favourite remix album yet. A lot of the songs are skippable and butcher the original tracks. The Fame Remix album shows you how it’s done.

TEANUS 12,716
- Alice is one of my fav Gaga songs of ALL time. Give me that candy-for-the-ear sci-fi house sound that I LOVE - SL was an obvious choice for lead and they were smart to stick to their guns with the single choice, something her team had never done before. If it hadn’t dropped as we locked down it wouldn’t have fallen off so quickly - I fail to believe the theory that BloodPop essentially drove the car in terms of production choices. I just don’t see Gaga in any stage of her career not being happy with the sound of one of her studio albums or she simply won’t release - While we are certainly rabid, she’s lucky that she has such a strong and ‘ready for twists’ fanbase because a lot of others would’ve CRUMBLED with the way that the era was abandoned. The BLM and COVID activism she took part in was super admirable and important and no one does philanthropy like Gaga. Howweeevvverrr, I think she took the circumstances as a way out to avoid the promotion, etc. that they had originally planned throughout 2019 and then re-planned in April/May 2020. There was zero reason the era couldn’t have resumed in full swing in July. I’m sure she thought it might be insensitive but literally everyone else had already resumed normal programming and no one batted an eye British social ladies with upturned pinkies, glasses clinking // xoxoTEANUS

JazzGa 14,512
Ok, first of all I agree with all of your opinions! You are a based Gaga enjoyer with exquisite taste, luv! -- 911 is Gaga's best music video! Everything about it is so cohesive, from the plotline, to the collaboration with Tarsem Singh to make an homage to Armenian culture and traditional costume and the surrealist film The Color of Pomegranates, to the way she credited her influences, the cinematography which was like a Renaissance painting, etc etc etc. She really perfected her craft of music videos with this one. Here's one that is bound to be really unpopular lol: -- Sour Candy is a cheesy song that isn't very good. I think a lot of ppl only wanted it as a single so bad because they thought that BLACKPINK's popularity would make it chart, not because the song was great. JazzGa 14,512
OH one more: The best remix on Dawn of Chromatica is Mood Killer's ridonkulous spin on Sine From Above, which is already kind of a bonkers song but Mood takes it up to level 11. I was really glad DoC introduced me to this incredible weirdo I've taken a few dips in the lady pond
imnotyourbabe10 6,058
Not her best album but it’s great for 35 mins. Stupid Love was a fun single. Alice is probably the best on the album. Rain on Me is fantastic. Plastic Doll is underrated. 911 is the type of Gaga video we haven’t had for a while. Sour Candy has some of her worst lyrics. Should’ve performed SFA at TCB. rinasawachanta 2,665
- It's a very good album, her best since BTW. - I think it would have benefited from a better choice of singles: 1. Alice, 2. Rain On Me, 3. 911, 4. Sour Candy, 5. Babylon I think could have worked well and in that order ( alternating solo songs with the featurings with more potential). - Stupid Love, as a track, is quite out of place on the album. I think it suffers from the same flaw as Perfect Illusion: you can tell that they are songs "put together" to be the first single in the absence of one that is more convincing (for being more risky, less radio friendly, etc.). In fact, PI (I don't know about Stupid Love) was composed last. To my mind, this makes both songs feel less "authentic" and doesn't end up reflecting the true spirit of the album. - The video for Stupid Love... Well, it's a video. - Sine From Above is a beautiful song. I find both the lyrics and the vocal production and execution thrilling and totally atypical in Gaga's catalog. However, for some reason I think Elton didn't like it or something? I don't know if this has been discussed yet, but I get the impression that they've been more " distanced" since then. - Free Woman could have benefited from a more radical production (more in line with Rina's excellent remix), I feel it sounds a bit soft. - While 1000 Doves grew on me to the point where it's a song I enjoy listening to, Fun Tonight strikes me as one of the worst in their entire catalog. - Enigma is amazing. - The Chromatica Ball Tour is one of her best tours and really deserves an official release. Bling 31,076
Stupid Love's production is grating As much as I love ROM, the demo had more of the vibe I've wanted to hear from Gaga - Deep, dark, Euro House Free Woman demo is still superior, then the remix with Rina Fun Tonight is a skip for me, cute message but just feels like filler and reminds me of Kidz Bop - same with Plastic Doll Sour Candy needs more Gaga verses - feels like BP featuring Gaga The latter half of the album has few faults other than 1000 Doves having a lackluster chorus. Majority of the album suffers from the songs being too short, not letting the instrumentation do it's thing and breathe. Feels like Tik Tok/streaming era pandering. Alice, ROM, 911 and Babylon specifically could have had awesome instrumental breakdowns ala Bloody Mary, Aura, etc I love Chromatica but as a long time Gaga fan, it has always felt like a safe choice for Gaga and too short. Not daring like her previous work. Here's hoping LG7 will bring back the unique melodies, songs longer than 3 min, and more in-depth (No Bloodpop please) layered production. discord.gg/hausofdelulu The #1 Discord for Delusional Little Monsters! Starmie25 13,573
* "911" and "Replay" are some of her best songs to date, lyrically and sonically. * The album is probably her most... squeaky clean (sonically) which is both positive and negative at times. * It defs might be her most vulnerable record to date. * GaGa
Ivy 11,660
-Out of her albums the way she uses her voice on this one is my least favorite next to LFS, because the vocals can be a lil screamy in parts -Pop a 911 and pop another one is not really a good lyric and it's the only reason that song is not in my top 5, it just bothers me lol -Babylon album version is better than HL version -Most of the songs are too short
Big Reputation 796
Sine from above should’ve been the encore on her tour. It would’ve been perfect When it’s dark outside you’re always the light
Guest
Fun Tonight is perfect as is. 20 hours ago, JazzGa said: -- Sour Candy is a cheesy song that isn't very good. I mentioned earlier that Sour Candy is my least favorite on the album, but I think the entire collaboration in the first place was a cash in to their popularity in the hopes of a high charting and performing song, and that's it.
