i agree. the idea of a 'set' of albums is cool. but just arbitrarily naming your next albums as a set is not it

Honestly, so far I feel like each album title has reflected its purpose/theme.

-Plus was his debut album, officially adding himself to the music industry after a string of independent EPs.  “The A Team” is about wanting something you don’t know if you can obtain.  “YNMIDNY” is a middle finger to people who wanted Ed to conform in the music scene.

-Multiply was him capitalizing on his success and wanting to grow as an artist.  “Tenerife Sea” is one of his best written songs that shows more maturity, “Don’t” is about managing relationships with his newfound success, and “Sing” captures the feeling Ed has while performing.

-The songs on Divide have themes of being pulled in two different directions. In “Castle on the Hill” Ed sings about coming home to his friends, while the lyrics of “Eraser” depict the price of fame.  Ed wants success and to do what he loves, but not everything that comes with it.

-Equals demonstrated Ed’s high point, he finally felt like everything had come together.  Opening with “Tides,” Ed has finally found balance.  In “Bad Habits” Ed admits his flaws, and “Stop the Rain” is about acceptance of negativity and unpredictability.

-Subtract was written over ten years, and largely focuses on loss.  I feel like I don’t need to go into too much detail, but it is driven by the death of his friend.  Each song is a different form of acceptance and coping to move forward.
