He can run for President and still be the governor of Florida, but he'll be term limited in 2026 anyway. So this is most likely his last term as Florida governor unless he were to run again after 2030, when the term limit lifts.

No chance Trump will ever pick someone who actively runs against him. His ego wouldn't allow it. Trump didn't even trust Pence to not overthrow him
