It's getting beyond ridiculous That being said... I so badly want to ese Elon fail and get taken down a notch. But also Meta... Two conflicting desires... Ever since the 2016 election I've decided the better evil is the hidden one. We knew people were racist, xenophobic, etc but at least it was a secret and we didn't have as much public policy affecting minorities. Showing the world that they can get away with sh!tty behavior is what's led us down a pretty dark place. Meta is trash, but at least they try to be perceived well. What intrigues me most is the fact that it's using Acitivitypub meaning it could allow you to cross post and interact across other social medias that also use it instead of it all being seperated. Twitter and Musk aren't concerned with that. I prefer the known evil because they are what they present as and you can prepare for that. Hidden evil is insidious and gives you a false friend.
