That, I believe, is exactly the way that Marianne understands the relationship between her spiritual beliefs + her praxis. P.S. People doubted the outreach of his progressive politics, and often applied the crazy old man stereotype against him because of his looks. But he was already a very well-established and liked politician (still has the highest approval of any in the US government) with decades of steadfast civil rights activism under his belt. Yeah but it took a very long time to take Bernie as a serious potential candidate thats able to win. Its progressives huge support that made him compete with someone as big as Biden. So I think its weird when progressives refuse to support Marianne (or any other progressive) because they consider them a joke candidate that will never win! While Republicans will make someone a star of a politician if they love someone.

StarstruckIllusion 53,777
Yes, but the Dem party is strange to where most people accept the lowest… Marianne would eat Joe uppp, but she’d prob not beat him in a primary. A shame. She has the leadership skills Joe lacks. Her being an impossibility now helps the DNC “justify” not having a debate, but it’s so icky and cowardly overall. As someone who’s in touch with reality outside of CNN: She’s not a joke candidate, she’s polling at 10% in some places and she’s a well known American author. I hope she runs in ‘28. They should debate and I wish her the actual best

Perhaps if someone WORKING WITH the DNC was challenging him, it would be a different story. But in this case, we have a candidate who SPLIT in 2020 when she lost. She did no campaigning for DNC candidates, nothing to help us win against Trump. You don't roll out the red carpet for someone who isn't helping the party. The point of the primaries is for the DNC to find their best candidate. It's not like a presidential election, it's a process to find the candidate. Biden has the support of everyone working with the DNC, doing the actual work. MW's policies are mostly things she can't deliver. She prays on people who don't understand how government actually works and thinks that if a President wanted (for example) Medicare for All they could simply implement it if they won. They can not. The country can afford it - but there is NOWHERE near enough votes (in any imaginary fantasy scenario) and the courts are too conservative at the moment. Just one example. Nobody really cares outside of DC tho? She’s not boomer-coded and influences the party/society online, in a different and wholistic way. She’s popular for a reason. We all know she’d want people to vote Dems, like cmon. Also no idea why you’re being so pessimistic. FYI a conservative SCOTUS rejected Abolition and the New Deal and yet they stood the test of time. Any leader who has the balls to challenge the institutions should be taken seriously, and working within the institutions of allowing special interests to dictate the law is not safety. Any leader who has the balls to challenge the institutions should be taken seriously, and working within the institutions of allowing special interests to dictate the law is not safety. In 2020, when she lost, she just left. Bernie, Amy, Pete, Kamala, Booker - the rest - got to work and hit the campaign trail and did everything they could to get our side to win. MW left, because MW only cares about herself. She wants to SWOOP IN AND STEAL the party because she's unwilling to do the work to help the party. If she won the nomination (she won't) and everyone else took off, she would lose. That's not a small detail. But more importantly, her "platform" is a joke. It's full of things she can't deliver. The reason that makes me mad is because it implies that Biden and the others simply don't want these things. When in fact they are WORKING in a broken system. MW winning the presidency doesn't suddenly make a president a queen. She would have no way to force Joe Manchin to do what she wants. It's called political reality and I will call out people like her all day and encourage those who support her to learn how the system works and what can actually be achieved. It's like when we were talking about cancelling student debt and everybody wanted to Biden to listen to progressives. If he had done that, it WOULD have been struck down by the Supreme Court. Instead, he listened to advisors and took action on what *HE COULD ACTUALLY DELIVER* and *survive a supreme court challenge*. There is too much on the line to waste time in people like MW who only care about themselves and don't have the experience to deliver. And candidates like her malign the real candidates to people who don't understand how broke the system is and that a president can't just change it. And, she's not popular. check the polls. She's popular on TikTok. Remember to like and subscribe, and click on the bell icon to get the latest updates

Scar97 1,695
I see a lot of delulu going on here Remember the last time we nominated a president with no previous political experience? Emvee 8,870
The same people who love to tout democracy are the first to shut down debate. It’s so funny. That being said, doesn’t she have to reach a certain percentage to qualify? If that happens, then yes, they should debate. It would means that she represents the wishes of a certain percentage of Americans and those voices should be heard. Marianne has said odd things, but so has Biden. Biden’s gaffs are no secret. Stop being so disingenuous.
Nemo 4,414
If Trump gets a "Town Hall", then sure, give her the same. She's much less of a crackpot than him. But no on the debate.
