It's so sad though, cause it's a good album with solid bops, but I do feel it's the least outspoken LP of hers sonically. Considering it's a self titled album I would expect her to show us who Bebe really is, but I don't see it tbh. That being said: she brings the bops and I can't wait to see her live in Amsterdam soon

Bebe is such a weird artist in that she cannot seem to chart high yet she's in the top 50 artists on the biggest music platform and has almost 50 MILLION people listening to her.

Like genuinely wtf.

From business perspective of course you want it to go as high as possible but from an artistic view who cares. She does what she loves

I think she just lacks that star quality, that presence that sets her apart from other artists.

But she does seem to have determination and I admire her for not giving up.

The US music market is going the opposite direction I thought it would go. After the pandemic and lockdown, I thought dance music/dance pop would be much more in demand.

Yet we are seeing these big pop acts struggle to chart their albums.

Despite having HUGE singles, we see both Miley and Sam Smith fail to stay super relevant. Ellie, Ava, and Bebe’s albums all flopped.

It’s so weird because 2010s Maximalist pop seems to be what people want. Taylor’s literally just re-recording her old songs and they’re slaying. These retro sample songs are going viral left and right and yet big dance pop numbers are not successful.

I’m interested in what everyone else thinks

How is it possible for well known artist to flop like this especially on the  album chart?, a few years ago around 2016 , you could easily secure  top10 debut solely for being a well known singer
