Gaga wasn't the problem with Gucci though. In fact, she was the best part of the movie; the film itself was just bad. I have faith that this movie will at least be better than that.

I think this is what they're meaning, because we hyped it up so much that we became disappointed when she didn't get oscar nom. Which is dumb

Right! I've been rewarching AHS Hotel and she wasn't even remotely as skilled as she is now back then as an actress. The only good parts for that performance were in the last three episodes

She was very much a student in AHS, and it’s great that Murphy gave her such wild material to experiment with. But by A Star is Born, her choices had become so nicely refined.

And what happened? She wasn’t nominated ok but she was praised left and right and was seen as the only good thing of a mess of a movie? If anything she did a bad PR campaign

all the reviews were accurate though, she was the only good part about that movie and the only award she missed out on was the oscar, she nabbed almost everything else

It's the Daily Fail, and they're farming for clicks from both monsters and haters. The 'extreme method acting' is absolutely aimed at people who dislike her....they snoop around/read other news and know that bashing method acting is a way to get people worked up.

Also, the film 'just' wrapped. It's unlikely WB has seen in its entirety....Todd is editing rn.

Girl  Gaga single-handedly carried that movie. A movie filled with other well renown actors, and she stood out more than all of them. The movie was technically bad (I kinda liked it lol), but Gaga was fantastic. WAAAAAAY better than ASIB

literally every person i’ve ever spoken to about house of gucci (including tons of locals of all ages) says “messy movie but gaga was amazing.” that is such a win no matter how you spin it lol. she received tons of awards and nominations and was seen as the best part of a movie with al pacino. ASIB made gaga an actress. HOG made gaga a MOVIE STAR
