As someone who is like a casual fan, they weren’t bad imo just not the best.

Loch Henry was by far my favorite. Absolutely loved every aspect of it (the acting was so good at the end especially). Least fave was prob the first actually.

Really enjoyed Demon 79, great message and very relevant to nowadays despite the period setting and the ending was sweet. Enjoyed Loch Henry, the other three I could take or leave, not the best series.

Lol not trying to be dense but what message did you get from Demon 79?

Just finished Joan is Awful, loved it. Wasn't perfect but I still loved it. Was scary until it became a comedy, just like Demon 79 it's too much comedy for me. S3 and S4 were PEAK Black Mirror for me.

very small note but I'm watching Loch Henry and she checks Twitter in the morning and she has no internet, am I supposed to think she hasn't checked anything on her phone since she got there the day before? or suddenly no internet? omg I was like where tf is this actor from?? it's PODRICK!! the mysterious daddy lol love that for him. Ok just finished it, amazing! but... not giving Black Mirror.. it's giving vintage w a documentary not unique technology.

right, it was so confusing to me... i didn't really get what were they trying to do. at first it was serious, somewhat creepy, then at times it seemed like a comedy/parody? it wasn't funny i was just taken in and out all throughout the episode.

I stopped watching Black Mirror at the start of the pandemic, because the real world already felt like too much and the show just felt so negative and like a bleak representation of the possible near future.. and I think a lot of people felt the same. Too heavy when the whole real world is in turmoil. So maybe that's why they changed things up? My friend said this season is less dark, so I'm actually more inclined to try this season out

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

okay I finished. the only one I really liked was beyond the sea- as agreed above it felt the most like other great black mirror episodes. the werewolf one was weird- like it almost tried to have a good message but lost it.

I don't mind the departure from sci-fi or even leaning more into fantasy but I dunno, feels like they played it very safe for black mirror. The concepts are there for each episode they're just not really fleshed out enough imo.

When I say message more a commentary, floating in a never ending nothingness is still a better choice than living in the hellhole we call earth nowadays so let it burn :huntyga: And I liked the whole anti Nigel farageness of it all.

I'm finishing episode 3 right now and all I have to say is every episode so far has been predictable. One thing I liked about most of the past seasons is how unpredictable they were. It was entertaining to watch stories that were far from being Hollywood cliches.

idk why but the American episodes compared to the ones filmed in England or with English actors look so much more professional. Even the American actress in episode two looked and acted like an actress and everyone else was like an extra.

Really loved the first two. Liked the second one. Hated the fourth one. Didn't care for the last one.
