Jesy Nelson's first independent single fails to make it into UK top 100

Jesy Nelson's 'Bad Thing' - first single as an independent artist has been an enormous flop as it failed to chart in the UK.

The former Little Mix star, who scored a top 10 hit with her debut solo single Boyz in 2021, hasn’t managed to reach those dizzying heights this time around as Bad Thing wasn’t included in the Official Singles Chart Top 100.

It was her first single since leaving Polydor Records in 2022 and released in conjunction with Women's Aid and details Nelson's experiences with her father who was in and out of prison during her childhood.

While Bad Thing failed to land on the main chart, it did reach number 15 on the download chart and 17 in the sales chart.

her second single "Bad Thing" is giving us 60s white girl my-husband-is-a-lawyer-and-i-will sue-you-for-fun-Walmart version of Lana Del Rey with Adele influence.

people just aren't interested and it was obvious from the reaction to Boyz which mainly gained attention from the drama
