I think we all know what these type of promos are for but slayyyyy. I left review and DM'd him.

I know, he needs the good reviews for the success of his show. I can't wait to hear the remixes though, he added my email to the list. Also he was saying these plaques are truly rare and he will sign it to the LM who wins so there is that

I decided not to enter since I am helping with the giveaway. Now that would be unethical if I left myself in.  Clinton wants hardcore gaga fans like ones on our cult site to win

Yeah, but that's exactly why reviews and "stars" from the public mean literally nothing. From review-bombing to this bought reviews, one can't trust users opinion. Obviously it's a great way to get your product (in this case, a podcast) known, but not for its quality. 

It'd be a little different if, at least, they asked for a review without asking specifically for a 5-stars, but still, it's bull defecation.

 

Also, I don't know about Spotify (lemme know if Spotify allows this kind of scam), but "offering money or gifts in exchange for reviews on other websites almost always violates the websites’ user agreements"...

Could have just asked to leave a review without specifically needing to be a 5 star. And you honestly do not see an issue with this? When I check ratings in everything I always navigate to the highest rated ones first as, naturally, I assume there is a higher customer/follower satisfaction. Entered a competition as a Gaga fan by leaving a 5-star review is bribe. Nothing ethical or OK with that.

i would agree with this if it was something i was paying for but it's a podcast on spotify... if you don't like it after listening to it, the only thing lost is time
