DJWS says he never said ACT II is scrapped

Man this is getting tiring. I don’t know what’s more believable, Interscope/Gaga team telling him to shut it, or he’s just now getting upset at the “haters” and mass deleting, lol.  Of course it’s not “scrapped”, you can’t scrap something that was never started (meaning, the choosing of specific tracks to create a second album, and probably additional production to help marry them together). It’ll always be not scrapped in his eyes. ARTPOP Act 2 doesn’t exist and it never existed, both him and Gaga have said that there was just enough material to make a second part, and it just never happened. She mentioned it publicly like what, once or twice way back when ARTPOP came out and that was it, right? It was just an idea of an “Act 2”. For every album that comes out, there’s at least a dozen B Sides that never come out for one reason or another. There’s so many reasons why it never manifested, and I wish he had moved on like she clearly has. It’s just embarrassing to watch. As an artist, I get being proud of work you made, but man…it’s been so many years. I feel like he filled peoples’ heads with expectations and realities that really didn’t exist by always hyping it, I do wonder if people would be this eager for it if he never hyped it up. I honesty think most of the tracks that weren’t on ARTPOP were probably not that great to begin with, they were B Sides for a reason (of course some exceptions like Brooklyn Nights). I’ve seen fans of rock bands get upset over unreleased tracks/unfulfilled promises, but this is just whole other level with how DJWS continues to go on and on about this for years despite him having little say in what happens to these tracks. I’m not trying to be a “hater”, I’m just trying to be a realist about how the music industry works; we don’t get everything and anything from artists, whether that be because record labels say so or the artist doesn’t feel it’s up to par with their own current standards. If it hasn’t happened by now, and it doesn’t happen for the 10th anniversary, I think it’s safe to say it will never manifest.

Don’t get me wrong, I think he’s clearly a talented producer and I’d love for more ARTPOP recognition like anyone else would. And I know Gaga appreciates the love. It’ll always be underrated by the general public, but it’s also okay to move on. Now, I’ll be pleasantly surprised any of it appears for the 10th anniversary, but I seriously doubt it given how much Gaga has grown since ARTPOP. Hope to be proven wrong, because I really do love ARTPOP, but any hope I had for Act 2 died nearly a decade ago.

Not true actually, it was fully planned to happen as Gaga said specifically a good few songs would be on it (Onion Girl, Tea, tinnitus, and temple specifically I remember.) and the same came with the ARTPOP App where she said Brooklyn Nights woukd be released alongside other new songs. 
 

She had a LOT planned out so it wasn’t at all just an idea, it was a whole thing she was gonna do, worked at, and I’m pretty sure had all of the songs written down with some instrumentals made a definitely at least a few demos as we heard with hallelujah and all that

This isn’t correct though.  The album being an ACT 1 and 2 was a concept/idea in early 2012, then that idea was scrapped.  Track star was going to be stems which included unused ones for the songs so fans could make their own remixes - that’s why when ARTPOP stems leak there’s all of these unused vocal takes.  We might have got Brooklyn Nights from the app as Gaga wanted that song out but I don’t believe there were any other plans for other songs.

Gaga has said she has unreleased songs but this isn’t shocking because she has this with every album.  We know Chromatica has unreleased SOPHIE demos and probably DJWS demos because he was working with Gaga in the album’s early sessions.

The issue with “ACT 2” is we were given lots of information about ARTOP’s creation in its conception via LM and fans have grabbed onto these ideas being floated around and clung to them.  It doesn’t help DJWS keeps these old ideas alive by speaking about them and making fans believe it could come out.  It would be like Kanye West constantly speaking about the scrapped Fame Kills EP all of these years later.

Not true. She was still talking about Act 2 and how it would be very different from Act 1 by March 2014 though:

"I wrote so much music for 'ARTPOP' and I’ve been writing more as well. I have thought about putting out the second act and right now I’m just getting ready for the tour."

"It’s actually very different from what is on the first act, I think that’s why I say it will be 'Act 2' because it’s a progression. It’s very important that when I put music out that you hear a really strong evolution because I’m changing all the time."

It’s not that it isn’t “justified” - everyone can set the record straight but he’s created this mess.  There’s a good reason why artists, producers don’t do what he’s been doing and that’s because it generates hype and speculation - he planted these seeds, this is the crop
