sucker punch 209 Posted April 19, 2023 Share Posted April 19, 2023 a particular day in 2016 or 2017, i can't remember correctly, i was reading the Joanne booklet while listening to the songs. then, Joanne started and i looked directly at the first verse. i broke down. I've never paid attention to the lyrics before and my english at that time was so shitty, so when i understood it, i couldn't hold it. my grandma passed away in january 2016 so it was still a though moment for me and my family. the whole Born This Way lyrics also give me so much joy and hope whenever i listen to it. not my fav song but, i can relate to this Love Me Right lyrics.
