They all did the assignment though...Overall, the Rusical was great, it's almost S15-level good imo. So like Michelle said, at this point we're just nitpicking. Jimbo did do a good job, especially compared to her last Rusical performance in UKvTW. But to me, the choreo wasn't as well executed as Kahanna and she didn't serve better face than Jaymes. Her runway was great though. I'm a Jimbo stan through and through but I think it's clear that production decided to save her because they knew that if she fell into the bottom, Kandy would've immediately taken her out.

How can it be "clear" they saved her but at the same time everyone was so good that they have to nitpick? I feel like those statements contradict each other. :max:

If everybody was so good and it was so close then it's not really "clear" that she deserved the bottom and therefore was SAVED. That's just one interpretation.

You could be right but I don't agree that it's clear or a given. Ru could have genuinely thought she was safe and that's it. All we can do is speculate. :ohwell:

Maybe I need to watch the rusical again, but I honestly don't get the love for Alexis' performance. Her singing was great, but I didn't like her choreography and she looked stiff to me. I agree with Jessica and Lala being in the top though.

Honestly, I disagreed with Michelle's critique that Kahanna wasn't serving face. Like, it wasn't over-the-top or campy face, but it wasn't as tense and wooden as Michelle made it out to be. Jaymes' choreo wasn't particularly hard or groundbreaking, but I thought she embodied the character well. Jimbo's vocal work was good, but that's about it. I thought Kandy honestly did a great job; she sang well and like Jaymes, I thought she embodied her character well enough. Her runway was ok (a best for Kandy though), but I'm not mad about her win.

I mean, Alexis doesn't have any say in her choreography. But imo, in terms of characterization, she was one of the few that actually read as Joan Crawford to me. I don't think Kahanna was tense or wooden, I just think she was absent. She was clearly focused on nailing the choreo (which she did), but completely dropped any semblance of character.

In terms of Kandy, she did well with the choreo, but I always find her humor to be pretty one dimensional. I thought the makeup could've been more and I definitely think that number warranted a more over the top characterization, but that's just me.

Because Jimbo still did a good job. When I say that Jimbo should've been in the bottom, I'm not saying that out of spite or malice. I'm saying that compartively speaking, Jimbo, to me, was  in the bottom. She still gave a good performance, but when compared to everyone else, she was weaker.

You're right; all we can do is speculate. Maybe Ru genuinely thought she was just safe and that's that, but this is the same show that, a couple of episodes ago, put Lala in the top for the ball to give her that 'redemption" story arc and pushed Jimbo to win the SNL episode to get her & Pangina to lip sync. Btw, I'm not saying that Jimbo didn't deserve that win—she 1000% did—but would it surprise me if production purposefully booked Pangina for that episode thinking that Jimbo would kill that type of challenge? No.

Btw I'm not trying to villify production. A lot of people like to do that and sometimes I think it's warranted, but at the end of the day, most of us still decide to watch the show regardless. I'm just saying that deciding to save Jimbo could've been a strategic play by production to keep her around for longer.

And I mean, you say that Alexis doesn't have any say in her choreo, but I feel like the critiques you're giving Kandy are similar. Like, was it probably wasn't her decision to incorporate that kind of humor into the performance. It was already all choreographed. Sure, I guess she could've done more make-up, but I was largely fine with the way she looked. And I thought her characterization was fine tbh.

We're probably just gonna have to agree to disagree on this one

For those people who keep saying Jimbo should have been in the bottom, why? She did the assignment. She did the choreo, she was servicable, she had good face, she knew all the words and she had a great runway.

If it was a bottom 3 ok yes I could see her in it. But for a bottom 2 I'm not seeing why she deserved to be in the bottom over Kahanna or Jaymes. What am I missing?

Married At First Sight Reaction GIF by Lifetime

She did good, but she wasn't as good as the rest imo. To me it didn't look like she knew all the words. I adore Jimbo, but when she's lip syncing and dancing she almost seems to get slightly in slowmotion/behind. I wish she would hit the beat more like she hits every other aspect of this competition.

Also it wasn't a one taker (might be true for some of the others) but it in her performance you can see a cut that doesn't match up.

According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch

Spoiler

If anything, this last elimination backs up Heidi’s claims. Miss Kandy is very messy for that

I know you're not saying it out of malice we just disagree and that's okay. :holdmyhand: IMO if I ranked the performances (and runway) Jimbo would be towards the bottom, but not the last 2. I simply believe that Ru felt the same and that's why she was safe.

Regarding the Jimbo vs Pangina moment, I just need to say this! :icant:

It's entirely plausible that they have the lip sync assassins booked for a few different tentative dates, and can switch them around last minute. So that once Ru and the producers saw the SNL challenge, they could have decided, ok yes Jimbo was the best so she will win tomorrow on the main stage. Let's call Pangina and have her come tomorrow. Boom.

Whereas if Jimbo had bombed that episode maybe they would have saved Pangina for a later challenge when Jimbo did better.

Even if Pangina was scheduled for that episode specifically with no wiggle room, it was still up to Jimbo to deliver in the challenge and runway. What if she had bombed then what? Someone else would be lip syncing.

I know the producers are producing but it's not always to the extent people think. They're trying to make good TV, they wanted that gaggy moment from Jimbo. But people take that as "evidence" that she was pushed to win. It's tiresome.

Right. Jimbo still had to deliver to win the challenge, which she absolutely did. Like I said, Jimbo definitely deserves that win, but I don't think it's far-fetched to think that the producers probably wanted Pangina to be the LSA in a challenge that they thought Jimbo would've excelled in.

Like yes, it's a gamble. If Jimbo somehow managed to bomb an acting challenge, then they wouldn't have the Jimbo vs. Pangina rematch, but as a producer, it's quite literally your job to create an entertaining show and storylines.

It's an unscripted reality show at the end of the day, so nothing is 100% scripted beat-for-beat, but things could be pushed in certain directions. Imo I don't think it's tiresome to say that the show is being produced in a certain direction. People like to complain about production but it's also that same production that has kept the show alive for 15 seasons, 8 All Stars seasons, and dozens of international franchises. Production can only get annoying and tiresome if what they do seems unfair and unwarranted, like Lala being placed high for the ball. Jimbo's win wasn't unwarranted because she deserved it, but it doesn't make it any less of a "production stunt" when the LSA was clearly chosen to continue this "rivalry" between Jimbo & Pangina.

My critiques aren't about Kandy's choreography or the song, they're about her actual *performance*. I'm not talking about the written humor, I'm talking about her sense of humor as a performer. Kandy gave no face and, imo, didn't really embody the song or the character that well. That's why I said the song + the props did the heavy lifting for her (as in: I didn't think *she* was especially funny, I think the number was funny and her performance was adequate). I don't really agree abt Alexis also deserving Kahanna's critiques, given that I think she completely embodied Joan Crawford. But agree to disagree.

An amazing Rusical, great runways overall. Best runways in order to worst for moi, Jimbo, Alexis, Kahanna, Kandy, LaLa, Jessica, Jaymes. I think Jimbo did what she could, a little stiff still. I was kind of afraid she'd be in the bottom but I know the spoilers, so :derpga: I think Kahanna and Jaymes were still good in the challenge. Alexis did the best she could with the role, fantastic, but it was not a winning role. Idk why they had to input Country. Could've been in the top, but I agree LaLa (best) and Kandy were top 2.

solid lip sync, sorry for the eliminated gal. I saw a comment saying Trixie will be like vote Jaymes and she's guaranteed to win lol but we shall see. Darienne has been slaying

omgggg the teaser for next episode looks sickening

The rigormorris continues, Jimbo's great competition but she should've been in the bottom. :iamfair:

If riggamorris helps win Kandy with the obvious winner bit (like I believe every queen would destroy having this part) and runway that was just bodysuit with glued shapes, then I can accept they gave Jimbo the pass :glamourpuss:
