After reading through the comments, it's disheartening to see how many people adhere to a narrow beauty standard that dictates only thin or muscular individuals should be permitted to wear revealing clothing in public, leaving those who don't fit this mold to cover up and feel ashamed of their bodies. I have no issue with someone their weight doing this, I just dont like what their doing because they always looks horrible, no artistic vision to their work, and the music is bad. CeeLo Green is fat and he sexualizes himself, I dont see people having an issue with it. Everyone here loves Lizzo so I dont think people have an issue with fat people?

The problem people have is fat male gays. CeeLo Green ain't gay and Lizzo is a woman, while Im sure they get lot of negative comments Sam has the impact of gays only accepting a musculed body.

I am a big boy, and have a belly, and I am glad when people are confident with their bodies. 

All my life, I had a problem with my body image, from anorexia to have muscle. When I start to let my mind free, and not force myself to look like others, I start to have a better relationship with my body (yeah, I still have my mental problems: depression, anxiety etc, but at least I don't try to be more bad with my body). 

So, Sam live the life you want, good job!

Am I the only one who thinks their body is just normal? If this is considered “unappealing”, then this whole gay community is f- up. No wonder i find it really hard to communicate with gay people (and yes, I’m part of the LGBTQ+ community)

Also didn’t Sam mention something about going to the gym now? I really hope they do it for themselves and are not pushed to loose some weight in order to fit the celebrity hotness criteria. Cuz lots of celebrities (IMO) did it (Adele, Rebel Wilson, Melissa McCarthy)

I feel like people likes you only when you are skinny/fit/muscle.. 

For example, I was always into big guys/bears, and sometimes if someone is asking me, what is my type.. I even get scared to say. I know it sounds crazy, but because now I am a big guy, people always tell me that I should loose weight, that I was looking good before, that I should not stop going to the gym, but nobody was in my mind to understand how I felt in those days. 

Don't get me wrong, it's ok to be skinny, fit etc, but I wish we could accept others too. Cause every person is beautiful.

I feel you. I mean I’m not over-weight, but in my country( which I truly hate) I definitely not fit in the “fit, attractive” category, just because I don’t have abs -_- It makes me furious to see, how heterosexual couples are going faster for that progress in body positivity, than gay people.

This, that's worrying because it means standards are very stricts and homogeneous now among gay people,

I think (it's a personal thought so take it as it is) that the apparent access of more freedom and rights among lgbtq+ community have pushed some gay males to adopt the behaviour of the cis straight men. Like "C'mon were accepted now, so we have the chance and  must be what real men have to be" and this way, they reproduce the same toxic patterns among us and suffer the same bias, self hate towards them that cis straight men have perpetrated (while enduring it) since centuries,

Now, for being a "good gay", act like a straight, look like the heteronormatives beauty canons and bully others in order to not be assimilated... If you dont fit the very tiny mold you are rejected by your own community because you could "waste the achievement" of being accepted among our straight male peers.. That's so disapointing, we gain legal freedom but lose solidarity and the subversive aspect of the community,

Thanksfully there are kindness soldiers but it proves the fight for acceptance is not over
