hELXIG 41,867
I've been preaching this same sentiment for years! Noone should be making comments on other people's bodies, period. Unless you know them very well and know something specific like they've been working hard at the gym or something. There's just no reason talk about people's bodies. I've noticed that other people do it constantly and I find it so weird And here's the thing, even if you think you're saying something positive you don't know that for sure. If someone has just lost a lot of weight you many compliment them on their weight loss.. but say they lost all that weight through unhealthy means eg eating disorders or medication because they're concealing an illness. You could be backing up someone's insecurities eg "oh I never got showered with compliments before I started at the gym, my old body was something to be ashamed of after all" Like come on, just don't do it. Unlearn that behaviour I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
