Live album on the 26th, movie on the 29th sounds cute to me. I'd love for it to come out but will I hold any faith in it? Lol no I've been around since 2009. Wait where do movies come out on Monday. here in the US it’s always Thursday night for pre-view showings (usually one or two at night) and Friday is the first day for a box office week. Were The Weeknd or lizzo's special rumored to hit HBO before their announcements? How long was the wait between the announcement and the release? Lizzo and The Weeknd’s concert films both came out on a Saturday. The Weeknd’s was announced about 3 weeks before, and Lizzo’s was more than a month but she had a documentary as well that premiered earlier. I know Netflix is a little different but both Taylor and Ariana’s last tour films were announced just a few weeks before premiering as well. I don’t think these types of films usually have large amounts of promotional time because they don’t have to. It’s simply an artist and their concert. So unless HBO/max wants or needs to feature her to sell subscriptions, I don’t think we’d be getting any type of announcement until May. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Lol in my lack of sleep I mixed my thoughts up and worded that wrong, in my head I had physical movies usually come out on a Monday here in the UK and mixed the release and physical release up.
