Just a reminder that people (Gaga) can enjoy their job

I find it so strange how every time Gaga finishes up a big project people expect her to disappear and “take a break” from her job for months, or even years. Like this woman has been in the spotlight / performing for every year of her career. If she wanted to disappear and relax for months she would’ve done so by now, 15 years into her career. The reality is that Gaga likes her job, and we see that after every big project. She likes to perform, she likes to write music, she likes to surround herself with art. The only time she’s ever disappeared or shied away from the spotlight is when she’s in a depressed or hurt state, and every time she comes back it’s because art has inspired her. Idk, I feel like some of us like to impose our lives onto Gaga’s. Obviously most of us would love to hide away and not go back to work after a busy month. But Gaga is in a very fortunate situation where her job is what she loves to do. If anything, I’d worry for her if she chose to disappear for a year like some of y’all are hoping / expecting her to do.

Doesn't she have the Vegas performances later this year ? If anything, she's still gonna be writing music and attending her other business endeavors (Haus Labs, promos for other companies)

I think your take is very refreshing and definitely something to consider. I agree that I believe Gaga does genuinely loves her job and her work and appreciates it deeply, so she may not take much time off.

I do think a lot of us here though remember she was very overworked in her early career and it caused her a lot of pain. We all want to see Gaga thrive. So that’s why some fans expect or even encourage a break, especially after something so mentally taxing as a billion-dollar movie role (right after a world tour).

You are totally right about how we shouldn’t impose our lives onto hers. Only she & her close circle know where she’s at mentally.  I’ve noticed a shift on GGD that people are more accepting of the uncertainty this time around (as in, we all know we are going into a period of NOT knowing her next move - and most of us are OK with that) which I think is a positive thing for the fanbase. 

We all want her to do what’s best for her, at the end of the day!

Even after the constant work with Born This Way / Tour / Surgery / ARTPOP, this is the same woman who has worked on several projects at the same time. She recorded Joanne, A Star Is Born and even worked on Love For Sale and Chromatica around the same time. I wouldn't be surprised if she immediately moves to something else right now.

Yeah I kind of agree tbh I think the pandemic was challenging for her in the way that she was literally forced to slow down in her work

Not to say that she shouldn't take a break! But I think it's hard for her, she has a passion to create art
