"A grand jury in Manhattan has voted to indict Donald Trump – the first time in American history that a current or former president has faced criminal charges, according to three sources familiar with the matter.

The Manhattan district attorney’s office has been investigating the former president in connection with his alleged role in a hush money payment scheme and cover-up involving adult film star Stormy Daniels that dates to the 2016 presidential election.

This story is breaking and will be updated."

This is not good. Indict him on the bigger stuff rather than this. This will make it look politically motivated. I really wish I didn't happen.

Nothing will happen

At most it will send Republicans mad and violent temporarily  - Trump will still run for 2024

Love it. First ex-president to be charged with a crime.

Pathetic man.

What does this mean for future presidency?

I mean if someone can't come into the country even for a vacation if they've had any kind of criminal convictions how can someone with the same convictions be president of the country?

A conviction could only really hurt him electorally, it's not constitutionally disqualifying.
