What do you think of the tracklist for The Weekend’s greatest hits compilation, The Highlights?

Personally I think some of the additions are confusing (After Hours, The Morning, etc. and I think he’d benefit from a reissue in the next years after Dawn FM and the resurgence of I Was Never There and Die For You from TikTok.

I think this would be better IMO

I mean I think it's fine? It's got all of his singles that people would want + some album tracks/promo singles that did decently well on their own to get a streaming push. Dawn FM wasn't out yet when The Highlights was released so that's why none of it's songs are on it. The only obvious snub then would really be In the Night.

I think though at that point they could’ve included Crew Love (with Drake) and Low Life (with Future) versus The Morning and After Hours. He’s performed them a good bit and they’re massive on streaming, those two tracks are relatively obscure/ unknown

After Hours' inclusion makes perfect sense to me. It's far, far, far out-streamed Crew Love (579 million for AH vs. 281 million for Crew Love), was a promo single for the album he was about to tour + promote with the super bowl, and it would boost the already insane streams for AH when he was still gunning for the streaming record at the time.

Low Life could've been included for sure, but not at the expense of AH (which was promotionally strategic) or The Morning which is a fan favorite. It could've been in addition to.

I guess that’s true about AH, Crew Love is just such a classic and it was the first introduction to his music for soooo many people
