The interviewer seemed rather offended by these answers which made it more awkward than it really is

While I love Ashley Graham, I'm surprised they continue to have non-journalists like her handle red carpet interviews and not just for the Oscars. I mean shouldn't this be handled by someone actually trained for this? Someone who would know what to expect with Hugh Grant? I mean he's no obscure figure and his personality is kind of infamous if I'm not mistaken. There was also another red carpet encounter where I think the interviewer messed up and thought Kate Hudson had won an Oscar and it was also super uncomfortable, to say the least. So I feel like it's not just Ashley Graham but these interviews feel lacking overall.

It seems just a little awkward not that bad to me? I think her questions just threw him off because she kept asking about him being excited and having fun and it doesn't seem like he's that type person :selena:

He’s an old, straight, British man idk if those words have entered his vernacular yet :laughga: those words are a little too exuberant lmao

Eh this didn’t give rude to me, more that he was oddly taken aback by the questions? It also seemed loud af where he was and he got distracted during the first question alone so I think the environment kinda derailed it. Once you’re out of focus in a loud space you’re not recovering. Like do I think Hugh Grant has even the slightest knowledge of how made his suit? Nope lmao and the vanity fair answer was talking about the book (or the OG british publication that ended in 1914), which Ashley didn’t know so I think it just started things off on the wrong foot. She seems very American and he seems very old school british; just seemed like they didn’t have chemistry is all.

True but I think public personalities are expected to tone it down a bit.

His answers weren't rude to me. That's just how he is, he's not going to put on a fake show of excitement.

I would‘ve answered the questions exactly the same way.

also she could’ve prepared better questions, individual ones for each celebrity and not the ones you could ask anyone passing by on the carpet.

It felt rude to me...i mean, he should have felt that the lady is getting uneasy with his responses. He should have just declined if he is not in the mood
