Wow. You know album sales have gone down the toilet when 74K is enough to get you to #2. I know this is hardly shocking in the streaming era but for me, as someone who grew up in the 90s and was used to my favourite artists selling up to 1M+ in the first week, it's still weird lol

sales significantly decreased some time ago when Billboard banned concert tickets and merchandise bundling and began requiring shipping to count physical copies.
last year 47k was enough to get #1 in one of the weeks
