FfFfFfFF 58,136
Diplomatic correspondent Senior Contributing Editor to the The Jerusalem Post Lahav Harkov claims Israel will send missile defense systems to Ukraine. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The United States has reportedly asked Israel to supply Ukraine with its long-retired Hawk missile defense system, despite the fact that the components of these systems are in serious disrepair and no longer operational. This request places Jerusalem in a difficult diplomatic position. While it wishes to stand with the Western bloc, it must also carefully manage its relationship with Moscow, which has the power to disrupt Israel’s efforts to control hostile Iranian movements in Syria as well as threaten Israel’s open channel to Russia’s remaining Jewish population. Because the geopolitical desideratum of the US is that Russia will loose the war in Ukraine, therefore US will logicallypressure all its allies into working for this goal. This ties with the concept of the sphere of influence and how in the modern world no country is really sovereign: as a strong ally to the US, Israel can't just pursue its foreign policy the way it wants without taking into account the desires of its security provider. The US seeks to win over Ukraine financially as Ukraine will forever be indebited to the United States after the war (similar story as the Marshal Plan when the US definitely brought Western Europe into its sphere through investments and financial aid). The idea that the United State is this good-seeking power willing help undefended ''brothers'' is just propaganda. I am sorry to break it to some, but this is the reality. You don't have to be a conspiracy theorist and cynical about everything. Helping Ukraine is definitely being on the right side of history here. And this help is given in the form of NON-REFUNDABLE aid, not loans. If the U.S wanted a debt trap for Ukraine they would've given this aid in the form of loans (like China does to other countries), but they did not. So stop with the contrarian nonsense. You constantly peddle these theories which literally puts you on the same side of Tucker Carlson and company.

The US knows Ukraine will not be able to pay and will be so deep into the American sphere that it doesn't matter. Can Ukraine really say NO to the United States? Of course not, Ukraine will therefore be won over (same as Israel above). We have an over-arching issue of American ego and saviour complex, but the matter of facts remains. Why isn't the US putting sanctions on Israel for disobeying international law and enforcing an aperthide regime? Why is the US ocuppying territories under Syria's UN recognized borders? Why did the US support Kosovo's secession but not Crimea's? Answer: the US foreign policy isn't fairytails and rainbow flags, but geopolitical interests. Ah the typical, whataboutism, false analogies. Kosovo declared independence after facing ethnic cleansing. Millions being attacked, robbed, forcibly moved out, their houses burned down, because of their religion. And ethnic cleansing is one of the very rare circumstances where international law allows secession. I'm not aware of ethnic cleansing being conducted in Crimea. Putin invaded Crimea literally before a new ukrainian president was even elected, after pro-russian president was removed from power. So entertain me on how this pro-russian president was conducting ethnic cleansing against russians in Crimea ? Like even if we dont trust media, international orgnanizations and conspiracy theorists like you think ethnic cleansing was happening secretly in crimea, the timeline doesn't make sense. I explained this to you before but you conveniently ignore because it seems that you cannot think beyond false analogies and whataboutism. Don't waste my time if you're not arguing in good faith. Because they have a war, with a lot of people with lack of access to food, water, safety etc... The U.S spends 50B$ annually on foreign aid, and it's been happening for decades, no one complained about it, until the right starts attacking Biden for helping Ukraine (only because they want Putin to win, otherwise they're happy giving trillions of $ in tax breaks). Whatever problems we have, they amount to nothing compared to the atrocities of war. So yes all countries need to help them.
