She’s a legend & slayed souls with her work in Westside Story, but that performance was 100% terrible. It was so poor. She was off beat, out of breath & the vibe was totally off. The actresses being called out were obvs not into it either  I hope ‘Angela Basset did the thing’ doesn’t become a thing because it was so cringe.

I honestly thought the performance was cute. It’s silly and harmless fun. Keeps these relatively boring award shows interesting.
