  1. 1. I'd say...

Both have huge legacies, yet both are known for not writing their songs. However, they sometimes appear on writing credits... just how much input do you think they have? Visuals and imagery aside; just music, the songwriting process. Do you think they walk into the studio like "okay this is what I'm feeling and this is what I want to sing about. I'll be back to see what you wrote" or maybe "okaaay, what songs do you have today for me"?

Beyonce has her writing camps and Rihanna released seven albums in 8 years. Wish I knew more about Rihanna's creative process, I've seen clips over the years with Beyonce talking about changing up song demos.

I'd say beyonce, atleast there's not 100s of demos of other artists originally singing her songs except the ones she sampled obviously :bear:

beyonce may not write her music but it sure feels like she has some major input in the visuals she puts out

i mean she might not but it really feels like she does, especially with Lemonade

I forget where I read it, it might have even been on here, but I saw someone describe Beyoncé (or at least her with Renaissance) as a "curator" and I think that's a good descriptor. Even if she's not writing or producing the music, it seems like she's very much the director/person in charge of the whole project and is very particular about what eventually gets on the album.

Rihanna's voice can bend to do almost anything and fit almost any genre, and I think that's why her singles have always been so successful. Anybody can write a song for her and make it work, I think there are very few pop songs that she wouldn't be able to pull off in some way. Because of that, she hasn't had to be as involved in the actual process.

Bey. Beyoncé’s back vocals alone eat. She’s known for arrangements of harmonies since DC.

3:10 is gorgeous

Random people around the world can recognize or sing a Rihanna song faster than a Beyonce one, IMO.
