When I saw her in 2016 I paid just $275 ($170USD) for meet n greet/early entry and had no problem getting them. And she was playing a really tiny venue too! It can only hold 1000 people   how things change

 

Edit: just looked it up and UMMM are tickets really $250USD just for general admission?? WTF that is so expensive!! Damn I didn't know I'd be emptying my pockets to see her if she comes back oh my... 

Tickets are only that expensive due to it being sold out. Those $250 tickets are re-sale tickets. I got a ticket during the presale and paid $55 total. Be quick and you won’t have to spend a lot

From what I've seen on Twitter, some people have and some are still waiting/haven't been given an update

The music video for VOID is currently estimated to be released May 26th according to Mel!

WAIT hold on I'm confused... I thought the video for Death was like a placeholder to generate buzz while she films the movie... but now she says she will be rolling out music videos for every song across the next 2 years?? Has the movie been scrapped and she's going back to the Crybaby era way of doing things? I'm so confused.. there's no way she's doing a mv for every song and a visual album/movie. This actually makes me a little upset   If the videos are gonna all link up to create one movie, I'd rather her release it all as one thing rather than drip feeding them out one by one

There's a small possibility that she'll do a M/V for each song and still make the film. (This theory of mine is supported by the fact that she said that there would be more acting/dialogue scenes in the film than musical ones.)

Fans are speculating that maybe they're still discussing the budget/it wasn't picked up. Her numbers/sales this era have far surpassed expectations and outsold previous eras so it'd be a major surprise if they decided PORTALS didn't perform well enough.

I think we should stay seated and not panic just yet, the era is only beginning (the album isn't even a month old yet) so they're probably working some stuff out!

Personally, I much prefer the single videos spread throughout. I think that’s why the K-12 era fizzled out so quick; the videos all were there right from the start.

Crybaby era was so well received, I think, because the videos kept the hype going. Plus, since it was a overarching story, when a new video was coming out, people would re watch old videos again, to get refreshed on everything. It really was a good system for her, and I think this would help the PORTALS era keep the momentum.

I'm inclined to agree - although I loved the K-12 movie, and it got me so much more into the album - that album was my top album of 2019. But given the attention and charting that this album has already produced, I think it is for the best her financial situation for filming the Portals movie is what it is and the videos will be coming out one at a time, across the span of the era. It will help promote it consistently.

But are there any LA monsters in this thread who are fans of hers? Because I saw streetposters in Los Angeles with her alien face on them.
