Not surprised.  Never gonna not dance again was awful .  Where is pinks edge? Her bad assness?

Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”

I really frown upon reviews like this.  The idea that anything less than groundbreaking is a fail is annoying.

When you write music, it comes to you and it's just a pleasant creative experience where at the best of times you take what flows and resonates with how you feel.  And the people who vibe with what your soul interprets are your fans.  Rejecting what's coming and pushing and working to be different and unique is something you can do, but why can't artists just do what they do without being put down.

100% agree with you - let's just enjoy the music you enjoy and leave it at that! We have enough negativity in this world.

I feel like they expect female popstars to always do a 180 with their sound and image. Meanwhile Bruno can come up with another 70’s or 80’s throwback, The Weeknd with 80’s synth pop or Ed Sheeran with more of the same and they don’t over analyze them like this. P!nk is still one of best performers today and her shows are always packed.

In Pink‘s case, it’s not that she’s not switching up her sound. It’s that her sound is getting more dull and commercial with each record. I haven’t heard Trustfall yet, so we’ll see how it is.

I like Pink but I kind of agree. It feels like she’s releasing something new every other year or so but it all sounds very safe and the same. The last time I was excited about her music was in the late 2000s. But I still respect her as an artist cause she’s an incredible singer and performer and still is releasing hit songs almost 30 years into her career.

The title track is gorgeous, and also made me rewatch her Grammy performance from 2010 which is probably the best one in history. Absolute icon.

Sometimes people just want to sit down and listen to a song. Not everything needs to be some revolutionary, game changing, reinvention of the wheel. There is a place for just a straight forward no frills song just as much as there is for a forward thinking experimental piece.

One thing I have to agree with this review is that her last 2 albums weren't good at all, especially the last one H2BH. Sometime I noticed is that P!nk is trying to move away from her signature pop-rock sound, and I think that this change hasn't resinated well with the gp and most fans. Her new music doesn't feel the same anymore, which is sad as she is one of the most amazing artists alive. Saying that, I love the title track 'Trustfall' so I am looking forward to listening to this album tomorrow!

So I gave the album a listen and while I did not read the review or go in with any preconceived notions, the word unstimulating is definitely what I would call most of the album. Throughout the album, most of the time I just felt indifference. I was unstimulated emotionally most of the time.

I don't go into albums expecting an artist to do anything revolutionary or different from what they are known for, but I do look for them to engage me emotionally and I found that lacking not all, but for most of the record.

For most of the tracks, I think the lyrics are great - from just listening to what she is saying, I don't think there are any songs that lack in the writing department, but I don't actually feel anything from them or how she is singing. It's clear from this album that she is still a powerhouse vocalist, but I think that most of these songs, that is only displayed in technique.

There are a tracks that feel different from the rest and I would call standout tracks and I felt really spoke. They are When I Get There, Turbulence, Kids In Love, Lost Cause, and Just Say I'm Sorry. These are songs I can feel strain and emotion and rawness in her voice rather than business as usual. Like she is feeling what she is singing about. Turbulence and Lost Cause are top two tracks for me.

I will say that I do think her upbeat songs on this album are mixed absolutely horrendously, though. Mostly on the tracks TRUSTFALL, Never Gonna Not Dance Again and Runaway.

I have listened to the album and I think it's great! Is it her best one? no, but is it better than the last 2 albums? 100%. Our Song has to be my fav, if this was an Adele song, it would be 1 for weeks. The only song I am not a fan of is Never Gonna Not Dance Again (why was this the first single blows my mind as it's the weakest song on the album imo).

pinks someone whos crazy talented in acrobatics and in singing, but she just doesnt have the vision............ and tbh as an artist, i dont find anything exciting about her except her ability to do crazy acrobatics. it sucks cuz she has a good voice, her music is just BLEH. shes still a badass though

The last album that I liked from her was Funhouse. After that.. :S

It takes a smart brunette to play a dumb blonde.

MANiCURE 6

It's my first time listening to a whole P!nk album and I have to say it is quiet good. Not really my type of music, but I do appreciate a few songs. I'll probably listen to "When I Get There", "Turbulence", "Runaway", "Hate Me" and "Feel Something" again ! The others... meh.

I mean... what if this is exactly her vision? It may not appeal to us but you can't say she's executing it perfectly. You don't create 4 identical albums by chance
