An acoustic intro of The Edge Of Glory would actually fit if it was instead of the God Bless America (especially since she was on the edge of the roof )

When we heard she was gonna start on the roof I thought for sure she was gonna do Poker Face and The Edge of Glory up there and then jump or be lowered in some manner. Of course before I had even thought she may start off with a beautiful rendition of classic American anthems

Exactly my thoughts. I always thought not singing it was a massive missed opportunity. It was set up too well just to end up giving nothing and was my only real criticism of the show. Then she landed on that plinth and shouted "I'm on the edge!" making us think she was just trying to scare us and was going to sing it now...only to immediately transition into Pokerface. It just felt like she was pointlessly teasing us for no reason. I'd like to think that if she ever did it again that she'd make up for it by singing it properly. Even better if she did it while running over the roof of the stadium this time!

I think it was the PERFECT ending song, imagine TEOG bridge while there's fireworks on the stadium, it was just too perfect to be true

Interesting, do you think they were planning on making John Wayne a single before they realized Million Reasons had potential to be revived? Would explain why John Wayne has a video despite not really being a real single.
