Maxine Puth 9,053 Posted February 8, 2023 Share Posted February 8, 2023 I feel like when she started, she would always show off on the piano, playing ragtime, classical pieces, and just overall more advance styles of playing. After like 2011 though, has she really shown off like that again? all I can think of is that Tudor watch ad, but it wasn’t even a live performance. I’d love to hear her go up and show off again tbh. There’s a difference between her playing some chords for her acoustic songs and… this. Obviously I love that she can accompany herself, but I’d love for more performances where she just goes crazy on the keys! I just feel like she never shows off that she’s a classically trained pianist anymore, most of her acoustic performances are all about her voice and her piano skills take a backseat. Edonis 28,950 Posted February 8, 2023 Share Posted February 8, 2023 I always wonder why she stopped doing that, but maybe it has to do with the lighter promotion schedule she’s been doing post-ARTPOP. It was so cool to see her between her dance pop performances and uptempo piano stuff, nowadays it’s almost always chords or ballads.
