I am listening to one of her tracks right now, I found her music truly amazing. She spent so many years locked alone with her music tools being her best friends because she was so focused and interested in the art of it, she knew what she was doing.

I totally broke down crying when Kim thanked Sophie. It felt like such a full circle moment, finally Sophie is getting some recognition during the televised show after 'Oil' was snubbed. Her impact on music is immeasurable. The entire moment was just show-stopping, Kim getting a standing ovation for being the first trans woman winner and then dedicating her speech to a trans trailblazer we lost too soon. It was such a huge moment, especially in this political climate with all of the disgusting anti-trans propaganda out there. The fact that users on here (and everywhere) are trying to discredit her win by pitting women vs. women when the problem that connects them is a man (as @Pineapple stated perfectly) is so disgusting. It's clearly pick-and-chose activism, especially when people say it's totally fine that Taylor worked with a man who admitted to s*xually abusing his young trans niece. So that's fine, but we all have to be anti Kim Petras? It's literally cognitive dissonance. I hate that we even have to bring up other artists' pasts with abusers, we shouldn't have to, but we have to to point out the obvious hypocrisy here. HUGE congrats to the deserving Kim and Sophie, and to all of the trans youth who are inspired by this moment while being surrounded with a culture of anti-trans rhetoric.

She is the first trans woman to win an award in the Pop Duo/Group category. She said that she is the first to win that award in that category, not the first ever to win a Grammy lol

I have a genuine question and I’m asking this in kindness, trying to check myself honestly — I agree it’s horrible that Kim worked with Dr. ****, and I was on the shes horrible train for a while, but I also keep thinking — Gaga worked with R ***** and actively said the allegations against him were false, (and that’s why he was on the song,) when it was pretty well known that they were true. She of course apologized and many of us (myself included) have accepted that, but hasn’t Kim also stopped working with Kesha’s abuser? Please fact check me if I am not understanding or getting the full story. Admittedly, I don’t know many details. It just makes me feel like there’s a double standard when Doja Cat has worked with the same person and gets half the backlash. Also, I struggle with the fact that Richy is still on Gaga’s team when many loyal employees, team members, called him abusive. Please help me understand if I am not.  Honestly, I believe Gaga’s intentions are pure and I will always be a forever monster. To believe she is anything but kind (and also human) is a reach given her image. That, in my opinion, would be way too hard to fake for so long.

Yeah I think people are more mad because of the recent comment Kim made about Dr. Luke, saying she doesn't regret anything with him I think?
