Because (in my opinion) she is an extremely talented and creative artist winning her first Grammy, and also being the first trans woman to win in this category? I have seen Kim live 3 times and while Unholy is my least favorite song of hers, I am still so happy for her historic win. You don't have to like her music, but as other users pointed out, its extremely hypocritical to discredit her win when the person in your profile pic also worked with a known abuser and hasn't said anything about it.

Soooooo happy for Kim! And to see so many ppl in the audience cheering her on is amazing. Not gonna take away from this historic moment with some bullshit commentary on a producer she’s worked with. The industry is filled with nasty people and ALL of our faves have worked and continue to work with them. Y’all just continuously put her up to the fire and it’s ridiculous. Let's look at this logically:

• Does ostracizing Kim, who is gradually moving away from Dr Luke and getting good recognition, do any actual good for Kesha? (Nope) 
• Is Dr Luke's career dependent on Kim, so if she goes, he goes? (Nope, he's already onto a new artist)
• Is any of this what Kesha actually wants? (Nope, and she's dropped hints before)
• Is attacking Kim really practicing what Gaga wants for her fans to do?
• Can you support both Kesha and Kim? (yes, the world isn't two-dimensional)
• Are we pitting women against women when the problem that connects them is a man? (yes)
• Does ostracizing Kim help or hinder women overall? (Probably hinder)
• Once we've sorted Kim out, shouldn't we hunt down everyone that's ever had working themselves with a suspected but not convicted criminal? Because that's the reason we're doing this after all. (the other poster mentioned Taylor, that could be a good start!)

Some of you really have an unhealthy obsession that's bordering on harassment... I hope someone can explain to me why we keep putting the trans woman down for the actions of a man. It gets to a point where she almost gets more heat than him. This is truly not helping anyone, especially since all parties involved would very much like to move on, whether the internet wants it or not.

Also, I find it ironic that some of you now use SOPHIE's name as the truly deserving trans musician when not so long ago, threads were getting flooded by pots and pans jokes about her music. Y'all are quick to change your tunes when it suits you.

I couldn't be happier for Kim, she's on a trajectory to greatness and she deserves it all

Omg I remember the pots and pans jokes so vividly, I truly think SOPHIE explored the beauty of music and how you can make so many unique and fresh sounds from just shapes like sines and saws.
Seeing Kim's speech made me happy for her, I saw her and SOPHIE had a connection.
I would really like to see Dr. Luke himself the ugly rat get more hate honestly.. I see that Kim is moving on from working with him
