I hope Ukrainians stay strong and keep on fighting this evil and injustice while the allies keep on supporting them.

This war will be the end of Russia. Have you watched Peter Zeihan's post war theory? He truly breaks down how even if Russia somehow wins this second phase of the war, the demographic collapse this war has brought to Russia in terms of men fleeing and dying in the war will lead to Russia's ultimate demies in about 50 years. He does say if Russia wins this Ukraine war it will lead to Ukraine's complete destruction and dissolution since it has horrible demographics and the devastation may be irreversible but it's more surprising when you hear that the victor may still ultimately destroy itself.

Things aren't going as terribly for Russia as people thought they would be, nearing the one year mark.

1. Russians continue to fight for Putin, which is the thing that surprised me the most. Despite the heavy casualties, you still see little to no dissent. There are 320k armed russians in Ukraine. If they wanted to, they could topple Putin himself if they were dissatisfied with this war. But the reality is they view this war positively, like it's bringing back their old glorious empire or whatever.

2. Russia propaganda in the West is working fantastically. The amount of fake conspiracy theories that I see about "biolabs" in Ukraine and other nonsense stuff. And they have different tactics that suit both the far left and the far right. If you wanna turn the far right against Ukraine, use Hunter Biden and biolabs, if you wanna turn the far left against Ukraine, use "Military Industrial Complex" fake notions of "Peace" etc.. And all of it is working.

3. Russia's GDP is not expected to drop much, mainly due to the fact that when the government increases military spending, it actually boosts the industry and the GDP :saladga: So Putin will divert from social programs but he'll still fund the military industry. And Russians have shown that they won't oppose him.

Lavrov already hinted today that Moldova is next. I really think that if Ukraine falls Russia will not stop there. U.S will soon be busy with China and Taiwan, and the world is just gonna get a lot messier.
