Under the VEVO promo videos people were saying pretty awful things about them just like on Twitter and every pop forum… 

Even I have been asked and beg to stop using gifs about them just because it makes them uncomfortable…. Just think about that… Im  using this as an example and an example only… but we can use gifs of Beyonce shaking her booty, but somehow Sam is being frowned for it… well deal with it, there’s more to come 

Have people said it's because it made them uncomfortable? Personally I thought it was funny at first but it kind of just got a bit annoying (no offense) seeing it in every thread.

I'm so baffled about some people talking like Sam's fatness is like they're morbidly obese and not a tall dude with some extra pounds. Many straight male singers are equally fat or even bigger than him and no one say **** the way they do to Sam.

Even if they were "morbidly obese," their body should not be up for discussion or criticism. There is no point where body shaming becomes acceptable.

There is no criminal offense in the video for being queer or skinny and if you find the video at all to be anti-LGBTQ culture I don't know what to tell you because that video is filled with LGBTQ pop culture reference.

There is also no controversy whatsoever. Nobody is talking about the video except a very niche group of people within pop music bubbles.

Sam’s entire career seems to be manufactured controversy at this point, literally the only conversations I see about them online are either people freaking out about their pronouns or defending them from supposed backlash and hate that is isolated to tiktok comment sections
