Canadian celebs or something? They're probably rich people and/or have connections.... Gaga's biggest demo is young girls and probably some of them are quite normal and listen to Katy Perry too. It's not even Islam, it's the Extremist countries that essentially force women into those. Her song could be about freedom from oppression or something. If people were offended by her wearing of the Niqab or Hijab then I would side with them if it came down to religious grounds. People wouldn't have a problem if she wore one while over in one of those countries, so why should they object here? Some of them look quite nice. For example, Saudi Arabia is known to have strict Shari'a law, and as far as I know foreign women in Riyadh walk with hair open, they just need to dress modestly, to have long skirts or dresses, loose clothing. If she would just wear it, ok, but I have bad feeling about this. Tara liked some of the pics on lm.com which show women taking off their burqas, showing naked breasts. If that is not disrespectful, I don't know what it is. If she's telling to Jakarta fans, I'm willing to cover up and still sing for you, out of respect, then no one would take offence, but who knows what are her reasons. If she potentially can offend the extremist Muslim, then that's when people start throwing the political correctness card? I have many Muslim friends being a Lebanese, and many of them upon seeing Lady Gaga's photo laughed and commented that she wore it wrongly. They loved her makeup. What about that? Yesterday the fur issue. Today the burqa. People here talk with so much political correctness that they don't see through their own hypocrisy.
