this is how TikTok works, you can get a hit there but not fans who will listen to your album. 

• Gayle's abcdefu went viral and received millions of streams daily. it was at #1 with 4.4M streams on Global Spotify when she dropped a new song that got only 130k streams on release day. a few months later she dropped EP and some tracks barely got 6k streams.
• Meghan Trainor's Made You Look gets 2.8M streams daily but the rest of the songs from her album are doing much worse. 'Final Breath' didn't even reach 1M in over 3 months (its highest daily streams were on release day - 34k and now it's under 4k daily  streams).

I thought that this album would’ve performed better given Unholy’s popularity, the buzz Sam’s enjoying rn etc.

Olivia’s Driver license blow up and her album went on to sale 200k first sales aswell so it’s always a hit and miss I suppose , it has the potential to bring an artist back to the public appeal

she is a Disney star. she had a fanbase before she released drivers license.

...is clearly hating on how they present to the world, which is innately phobic. Like other gender-fluid artists doesn't negate the fact that you are being hateful towards Sam and their self-expression.

I'm not angry at all. I just think it's very important how we treat members of our community, especially our trans and non-binary fam. And I don't think mocking their appearance or expression helps!
