Dennis 8,391
As someone who used to respect these socialists figures, I don't know if I'll ever support any of them again, aside from AOC, Bernie and the progressives who've shown themselves to be responsible in governance. I already had trouble processing their whole "defund the police" campaign which was never going to be a winning sensible message. And then, there was DSA's embarassing stance on the Ukrainian war, attacking Biden for helping Ukraine is just peak of political naivety. Pacifism does not mean you let fascist invaders take over your land, kill, torture and rape your relatives. I just hope that mainstream progressives distance themselves from this toxic brand that is DSA. Time for new progressive brand that is pragmatic and genuine about its values. Defunding the police, there is no obvious answer other than in a bastardised society it would need some advocates capping the police institution from running tyrannical. But then when police helped me i appreciate it. And when i was ***** this way, I was just their joke. Can't say I'm not bitter. But at the end of the day, they basically have me as their hostage, while I am juggled by displacement and bullying, and they keep telling me to go chase wild goosechases that sabotage and steal from me, as the people who are responsible, funny, given the circumstances, i'd have thought it was them. I lost quite a bit of respect for Sawant in the past few years. For all the city council members tbh. Seattle has gone downhill fast in the last decade. And that’s not just a talking point that gets spewed on Fox. I’ve literally seen this city slip lower and lower into just filth and lawlessness. It’s tiring.
