The perspectives of Moldovan-Romanian cooperation in the field of tourism, as well as the opportunity to carry out joint projects that would boost the development of this branch in both countries, were discussed on Friday, January 13, during the meeting of the Secretary of State, Andrei Chistol, with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Tourism in Romania, Tudorita Lungu.

The officials expressed their openness to create a common framework for coordination and consultations in the field of tourism, the development of common strategies for the promotion of tourist destinations from the Republic of Moldova and Romania on target markets and within thematic exhibitions, taking over Romania's experience in the creation of Organizations of Management of Destinations, but also for the promotion of common cross-border tourist routes. S

Moldova was the least visited country in Europe, but it's an amazing place if you are a viticole lover, with the amount of Wine yards that it got they could appropriate this type of tourism ( oenotourism ) and create wine roads + treks easily. But yeah their lack of popularity is still heavy on the European market, i would advise them to first invest into accommodations/transports/and others infrastructure in a way to receive tourists. This association with Romania can only be beneficial, first cause Romanians travellers would probably be their first costumers and second cause the average european tourist is expending its destinations to places more naturals/rural and that they haven't tried before (aka west europe)

I think the two countries should unite :vegas:

Little by little and from the bottom up! This is why Romania invests in building bridges and highways over the border, why Moldova receives gas from Romania, why certain villages across the border are already assigned to water reservors of the other country. The ideal unification always needs to happen at ground level first.

Fun fact: Moldova is the reason why Romania is among the countries vehemently opposed to the idea of building walls at EU's borders.

Not enough to warrant the Russia risk factor.

I'm sure Putin for the foreseeable future won't try to go beyond Ukraine... But still 👀
