It’s making news again as Alexei’s daughter Dasha Navalnaya is making appearances on American news channels. Alexei is apparently very ill in the Russian prison IK-6 penal colony and his family isn’t being allowed to visit with him. His daughter says that in the prison Alexei is being given unknown medication by doctors whose names they aren’t being told nor the conditions he’s suffering from. The documentary is brilliantly done and highlights how Navalny and his team tracked down those who poisoned him and tricked one of the chemists into admitting Putin poisoned him, and how in Siberia while the hospital refused to let Alexei’s wife see him, they were removing proof of the poison from his body and clothing. The ending is also extremely poignant when he and his wife fly back to Russia, his supporters at the airport waiting for him, only to be brutally detained by Russian police.
