When showing where some NBA players are from Canada they screwed up the map real bad

 

Toronto which is near the southern tip of Canada in the Great Lakes region was place considerably up North near Hudson's Bay

 

Canada's most populated region of some 9 Million was placed in an area where at best a few thousand people live

I always laugh when Americans refer to Canada as this singular place too, like "Oh I went camping in Canada", when we're larger than the US and have a more diverse landscape too 

we have glaciers, great lakes, deserts, major global cities, rain forests... like come on

The US literally has all of that too? And the US is almost exactly as big as Canada too

Thanks for missing the point 

Most people don't say "I went shopping in the United States" or "I went on vacation in the United States" - they say "I went shopping in Seattle" or "I went to LA for a week". I was pointing out how dismissive and dumb it is to lump everything in Canada under one name as if it's a singular place rather than a diverse country. But that's the American way I guess 

And Canada is slightly larger than the US

Was about to say this too. The US is at least as diverse if not more.

 

Also in terms of actual landmass the US has more cuz so much of Canadas "land" is covered in water

 

That being said in principal I get what ur saying @Cameltoe Chariot. Were insanely diverse by region and were often referred to by Americans as a singular place like u said
