I am gonna be honest, I ALMOST voted for Born This Way because I absolutely love Perfect Illusion as well and I could even say it does more for me musically speaking than BTW. but only one of them is a classic anthem that saved so many people’s lives and helped open society’s eye even if for a tenth of an inch. and BTW also has so many layers and it screams art and experimental to me, I still can’t figure out what the heck is going on with that song but I love it for that. and it’s a more pop bop so If I were the DJ I’d go with BTW instead of PI and that’s why I saved ha. I prefer it to perfect illusion but in hindsight, it was her first proper pop single in years, and we got...that. Its a great song and its very catchy but it should not have been the lead single to her first proper pop album in 7 years, shes cute but thats it.
