What does Gagadaily think Gaga’s worst lead single is? I’m intrigued!!

I have to say for me it’s Stupid Love. I don’t hate that song, I was very excited even when it first came out. But I think that was more because we had new Gaga music than because of the song itself. Nowadays I don’t really listen to it, I often skip it when I play Chromatica. Also it doesn’t help that I HATE its music video and it hasn’t had any memorable performances yet in my opinion.

Hbu?

I think Perfect Illusion. It didn’t live up to the years of anticipation and hype. To me it feels like a good album non single.

I really love Stupid Love but can see a lot of people voting for that

While I personally LOVE Perfect Illusion, I can agree that is not very well received or promoted. The fact that she didn’t promote the lead single from her most recent album at The Superbowl is very telling. What song would have been a better choice?

Controversiaga

I think it's a tie between Perfect Illusion & Stupid Love.  I think PI is a better song than SL, but Diamond Heart would've been a stronger lead with Perfect Illusion being a future single, maybe.

Stupid Love could've also been a single, but I feel like Alice or Replay would've been much stronger leads.

The lead on an album should get you HYPED for the album.  I don't think PI or SL did that for each of their eras.

Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”

Alice should've been the lead for Chromatica. There was hype from her post-ASIB return and she kinda squandered it with Stupid Love.

'All I ever wanted was love' is one of the best lyrics on chromatica IMO but overall, though it is fun, the song just doesn't really feel like a lead

Perfect Illusion or Stupid Love. Both suffer from the same issues: Perfect Illusion is a banger but not lead single material, especially for an album like Joanne. Stupid Love is a bop but is in no way reflective of the sound or direction of the album. Diamond Heart and pretty much any other song on Chromatica would've worked better (although I've always leaned more to a timeless track that adds richness to her singles catalogue, like Babylon :ohwell:)

Diamond Heart deserved so much more

I'm gonna say Stupid Love cuz Chromatica had bunch of lead single material songs but Joanne only had Diamond Heart and it's not that strong lead single choice :partysick:

Cameltoe Chariot

When Stupid Love leaked both GGD and ATRL had an absolute meltdown and called it a return to form. But then when she refused to rush the rollout and stick to her plan and release it with the video, people got bored and now act like the song is her weakest single :alsemanche:

I'm gonna go with Perfect Illusion, not because I don't like the song but because I think it was the worst example of what Joanne sounded like :alsemanche:

Railing

Controversial take: Every lead single made perfect sense. Stupid Love was the ideal candidate, all things considered.

But in terms of the songs themselves, PI is my least favorite.
