Someone on Twitter pointed out that Katherine Jackson was around when they had no money so just bc she’s comfortable now doesn’t mean that she lost touch with normal people ****. Meanwhile they had money by the time Janet was around and then hot Cheetos weren’t invented until the 90s when she was already rich af. So it’s conceivable she might not have encountered them as funny as that is.

 

my assumption, though, is that she probably has next to never encountered them in her own life (I mean look at her) so it took her a second to be like oh that thing yeah brain fart and then gave a diplomatic response of like oh that’s cute!! Instead of I don’t eat those. She knows how to talk to press by now to avoid saying her actual feeelings about stuff
