Pros & Cons of releasing ARTPOP ACT II this year

I’m in the camp that thinks ARTPOP should live out its legacy in peace. Gaga put everything she was capable of into the concept, reaching for the stars and pulling every punch she could at the time. So much of the albums charm comes from not only the controversies, but also the “what ifs”.

Pros:

-In 2013 Gaga said one album would be commercial, one experimental. Act II could be a one off truly experimental as hell album.

Cons:

-Act II will NEVER live up to monsters impossibly high standards, ideas, & expectations of what the album was.

-ARTPOP is aging like fine wine 10 years later because hindsight answered so many questions as to why some of her swings didn’t land initially (app, act II, space, etc). Overexposure, body/mental health issues, abandonment, pressure, addiction, loneliness- It adds another layer of depth to the album. Those themes reflect on it in another way that wasn’t obviously present upon its release. Revisiting it a second time and “housekeeping” it’s loose ends wouldn’t validate the idea of ARTPOP, or Gagas creative vision at the time.

-A part of the mystique and allure of ARTPOP is the trials and tribulations that went into creating it. It is an example of “look, but don’t stare”. Something she has obviously moved away from.

-Artistically, Gaga is probably much more interested creatively in pursuing fresh ideas & projects. ARTPOP impacted her, and everything since has been an indirect inspiration one way or another. Her neuropathic system will always have ARTPOP, but it’s clear she would rather redevelop the ideas she’s once had.

Temple by Virax is a fanmade instrumental that used part of the TEA snippet that DJSW played at the Boston JWT show.

Also, Sirena isn’t by Zedd, it’s by Dan Easton. Dan Easton made several fanmade ARTPOP instrumentals back in the day:

The rumored instrumental for Temple is this one:

Also, this is supposedly the Onion Girl instrumental:

Why did djws claim temple on instagram then ?

Maybe he co-produced it? I don’t know. All I know is that the Virax instrumental came from the TEA snippet that DJWS played at Boston:

She said that in 2012, and later clarified that it was no longer an accurate statement; she did assemble a 2-act album in the end, but it wasn't based on a concept like that

Her fans are crazy and twisted. I don't expect the same with LMs and the general public as well

Con: Reopening the bag of worms that was her collaborations with R Kelly and Terry Richardson, potentially devastating her reputation from a PR standpoint

PROS
- Fans will stfu about it
- We get new music

CONS
- It probably won’t live up to the hype as these are ARTPOP rejects
- They’re demos, I can’t see Gaga releasing demos so time will need to be invested into finishing the songs and that will delay new projects/music
- Revisiting ARTPOP will draw attention to R Kelly and Terry Richardson collabs

I guess I’m interested to hear the songs but if you asked me if I want a fresh Gaga album or ACT 2, I would pick a fresh album every time.  I’d die to hear a fully polished PARTYNAUSEOUS (Gaga version) though.

I am so confused as to why people believe she will even acknowledge the anniversary of ARTPOP? Like did you see what her and her team did for what is arguably her biggest album and not to mention possibly one of the best pop albums ever released by a female pop star? BTW got a ridiculous and hugely unneeded remix album with random features that gaga didn’t even record new vocals for plus whatever that random key to the city appearance was where Bobby let randos get up close and personal for zero reason.

The only thing I can imagine them doing is allowing DJWS to release a random track and maybe new colored vinyls.

I could be into her surprise releasing an EP of ARTPOP-era songs but otherwise not making a big deal about it. Aside from DWUW, the album has other issues (Jewels N Drugs, the use of the word Gypsy, etc.) that we don’t need to invite criticism/discussion of. It’s better to leave it as is and move on imo.

Releasing ACT 2 or ARTPOP revisited can never be a con, no matter how much success it garners, it is and will be the biggest gift to her loyal fans for their undying love for her.

ARTPOP was always a fan album, made for the fans, solely to inspire their minds with Art culture references. So how can a celebration of that album be a con?

Give your love to me
