I don’t consider it messy, it’s a chart based on consumption and popularity, the point of chart races is that it’s supposed to be about who comes out on top, she just lost this round, it’s all fun and games in the end, they’ll all remain just as rich in the end. SZA afaik has never had a number 1 but Taylor is the music industry so she’s had plenty.
