It was truly underwhelming and went from bad to worse as the performance progressed. So many ideas and songs crammed into one performance. I can definitely understand where you're coming from, they could of simplified it a hell lot more. It was quite distracting but I still loved it. I guess we would feel the same if someone paid tribute to Gaga and they dressed up with nothing she would wear and was gimmicky https://open.spotify.com/track/7q1GGm2mBlC9hPWige0C6e?si=6b5319d0e3b44fa6

Are you Megan McCain? No talent kids of notable people are often unbearable. Image seeing a young woman like Gaga become Gaga because of the inspiration she got from your dad and not celebrating her. He's just bitter with no talent of his own who wont admit it and mistakes crapping on other people as proof of his own greatness. If he was succeeding in life on his own merits, he would be like other successful people and admire people like Lady Gaga. Gatekeeping inspiration is gross. He doesn't have to like, but going out of his way to get it off YouTube is pretty petty and pathetic Remember to like and subscribe, and click on the bell icon to get the latest updates

Reject False Icons 4,770
Wasn’t it because it was at the Grammys and the Grammys have huge copyright costs of having clips of them on YouTube, it happens to all Grammy performances they are uploaded to YouTube, and a couple of weeks after airing they erase them. the performance wasn’t as good as everyone thought would be but everyone knows the reason why. Anyways I have a personal attachment to that performance but because of how I saw that

I think the vocals and the performance were strong, but I would've preferred if she just sat at the piano and performed, "Life On Mars?" all the way through. vitoburrrito 649
I remember thinking it was cringe but now that I’m watching it again, I don’t think it’s that bad. I think she could have done it better but she only had a month to prepare it, and nobody expects or wants Gaga to just sit at the piano when covering an artist like Bowie (who was very theatrical himself). It’s just not her style or who she is as a person. If you just wanted a cover of one of his slow songs, that’s what Lorde is there for. If you wanted someone to cover his more danceable songs and wear cool clothes, that’s what Gaga is there for.

I really loved the Rebel Rebel part, with the screen in the background that was awesome. But yeah I think she should of performed fewer tracks or just performed one like Timothee said which was something like Starman / Life on Mars https://open.spotify.com/track/7q1GGm2mBlC9hPWige0C6e?si=6b5319d0e3b44fa6

I'm not a huge fan of the performance either, like at all, it actually has a lot of really messy elements to it. But I don't get why some people think it would've been a better choice to do a piano cover of a song. Not everything is suddenly a stroke of brilliance just because it's stripped back. If anything she should've just focused on one song or worked with a cleaner medley.
