After 15 seasons + a gazillion spin offs with always the same characters and dialogues I think it's a good riddance. Standout queens are really rare by now for me personally.

If anything, as someone who's been watching most seasons and spin-offs, im glad they're cutting it down a little. Ive been finding myself skipping most of the filler werk room talk in most seasons because (not to be rude) I really don't care about most of the stuff they discuss. It always feels forced, so I hope they cut some of that and not the actual competition parts.

My only concern is that this season has 16 queens so im not sure how they'll fit all of them in a shorter run time... we'll see tonight ig

Yeah, I hope it's the cheesy sob stories they cut out, but they're so Emmy focused now that it probably won't be. So I'm scared they're cutting actual good stuff. And yeah with the amount of queens it's a bit ridiculous. 

Also I'm mad that it's done to accomodate this stupid WEHO show. Such a weird move. If they didn't have room for Drag Race and the new show then why move Drag Race to MTV in the first place? Just have your stupid gay show be the lenght you want it to be and leave Drag Race to another network idk

This is most likely a sassy joke but it’s kind of offensive. There are way more topics discussed than being gay. Homelessness, relationships, families, history, racism amongst many other topics are talked about. I get that because of social media we can get a queer perspective on these topics, but this is a big audience that gets to see them. Some of them being straight and white. I think it’s important for all of these people to see, hear and even comprehend what they say. If you don’t listen to these conversations and only like the competition part of the show, that’s fine but other people actually care about it.

Yes and no, sometimes it feels like the queen trying to get their camera time in and others where you can tell that producers made them have a group discussion. The exposure for the culture is great but sometimes it just gives me “holding myself accountable and I’m sorry” youtube energy.

With the same recycled challenges and storylines they can afford to trim some fat. I constantly check my phone during almost every acting challenge or mirror storytime tbh.

Good. The best seasons of this show (3-8) did perfectly fine with 45 minute episodes filling a 60 minute time slot.

Agreed. And the werkroom discussions, especially when they're getting ready for the runway, feel forced because they ARE forced. Production basically gives them cues like "Okay now ask her about her childhood"
