Diamond Heart I just love this song, the intro draws me in every single time and when she delivers that “do you have a girlfriend” sends me to heaven omg. It’s such a banger. It makes perfect sense as the lead single over PI (which I love and think is a great song but it doesn’t represent the album like Diamond Heart does). I love how it references her trauma and how she’s a survivor, I feel like it ties in the narrative of ‘Joanne’ more and relates more to what she was saying about life being a dog fight in interviews at the time. Additionally, addressing her diamond ring from Taylor, I feel like it was the obvious lead - I wonder if she ever thinks the same in terms of how it introduces the audience to the story of the album. 2.
