I don't think it's a money thing for Taylor, I honestly think she just wants to break records and have the highest numbers as possible for her ego.

Her fans have shown her that they will buy something they already own, something they will never use, something they already have, etc. It's literally for the sole purpose of helping her achieve big numbers.

I wonder if she will ever grow out of this mindset. It would be interesting and I bet the music would be deeper, more connected.

You mean singing about schoolmates gossiping about you in the hallways well into your 30’s isn’t deep or connected?

I think there’s something to this! I do think that she is a genuinely decent person. But if she was being truthful about how she gets about the need to feel like she belongs (which I suppose she has shown before, especially in calling out that one individual for saying she didn’t write her own music), then this very well may not be about the money as much as we think. But it has to be some of it. I know she’s a brand now just as much as she is an artist, but I hope she is keeping some of her humility and this is all unintentionally a bad judgment call. And I get it, how can someone be that rich and also a good person? I don’t know, but I don’t buy into that exact black or white thinking. I hope she is still genuine. And sorry I’m ranting I’ve had too much to drink and I’ve accidentally turned GagaDaily into a swiftie therapy session, my apologies fellow monsters

Now why was she sitting on these photos when some of them are better than what she used for the original covers and booklet

It's not exactly deep or connected no because it's an offhand mention but even if it was the whole narrative, I mean it's not abnormal for people to be talking about the bullying they received as a kid/teen into adulthood. If it hurts you, it hurts you, and it's not always something that you're gonna get over being salty about. Especially when, well into adulthood, those same people and people like them are probably contributing to doing the same thing just on an even larger scale.

This speaks to her personality and broader themes in her music—can’t move on from the past, a forever victim, working from a place of bitterness.

I swear she’s more chart obsessed than most stans. Anything for another week at #1 I guess :fail:

I don't really see anything wrong with it tbh (◍•ᴗ•◍) It's a luxury thing anyways, not everyone is required to get them so I don't see the problem. If you're worried about her blocking SZA, then that's not her problem lol if you guys aren't as chart obsessed then I don't think this should be a problem to you as well

He was getting dragged all over the place for all his remixes

It would be one thing if there was any effort into these re-releases/limited editions. But it’s just a blatant cash grab/quick push for #1.

In Taylor’s defense, a lot of people stop aging mentally as soon as they become either rich or famous. She became a huge celebrity at like 15, so even tho she’s technically in her 30’s already, she might still have the mind of a 15 year old girl. Not her fault at all, but it is something I’ve noticed throughout the years (e.g., how a lot of her lyrics seem like a teenager wrote them). You can see it in a lot of celebrities that garnered fame at a very young age.

“I never grew up, it’s getting so old” indeed

Fans who have purchased them are saying that the behind the music clip isn't anything new, or deep (sort of like what the voice memos from the deluxe version of 1989 had). These are just 30-40 second clips taken directly from an iHeart Radio interview she did (on October 21), telling you what the song is about.
